Target group and participation criteria

The Circular Economy Starter Pack is tailored to sustainability professionals across businesses in all sectors. Participation is open to all knowledge levels and is particularly recommended for professionals with beginner to intermediate expertise in circular economy.

Companies committed to the UN Global Compact in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Denmark and Switzerland & Liechtenstein can join the Circular Economy Starter Pack.

Participation is free of charge.

Why Now?

The transition to a circular economy is essential for achieving climate, nature and resource goals, while also unlocking significant economic value, with an estimated €4.5 trillion in potential by 2030.

At the same time, the regulatory landscape is moving fast. New EU initiatives, such as CSRD/ESRS E5, the Ecodesign Regulation and sector-specific regulations, are already directly impacting European companies.

While interest in circularity is growing, many companies are still at the early stages. Practical know-how, tools and resources are often missing, and the gap between ambition and action can be especially challenging for SMEs.

To help bridge this gap, the UN Global Compact Networks of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland & Liechtenstein have joined forces to offer this collaborative Starter Pack, building on the success of earlier joint programmes on climate and nature.
