Join us for this networking event on December 6th!
Business obligation to respect human rights is at the core of meeting the requirements of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the ability to communicate their efforts is an integral part of the due diligence process.
On October 26th, the Danish Institute for Human Rights published the results of the 2022 CHRB Snapshot Denmark: Danish companies are behind in communicating their human rights efforts | The Danish Institute for Human Rights.
The snapshot delivers insight into how a selection of large Danish companies are currently communicating about their efforts to meet the requirements of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the degree to which that communication demonstrates alignment with the UN Guiding Principles. This is the second Denmark snapshot, the first was published 2020.
On December 6th the Danish Institute for Human Rights, UN Global Compact Network Denmark, and Ethical Trade Denmark would like to invite Danish companies and other stakeholders to go into detail on the results of the analysis.
At the event, we want to give Danish companies, those involved in the analysis and those who were not, the opportunity to discuss the methodology, the results and how these learnings can support efforts to respect human rights. Participants will have the chance to dive into themes that are of particular interest to them, not only on communication of human rights efforts but also on the due diligence process itself.
We hope for this to be an inclusive experience for those with expertise on human rights, but also those merely with an interest in learning about this issue and trying to tap in on human rights in the business world.
