Climate Ambition Accelerator

This program prepares your company to measure its greenhouse gas emissions, set ambitious goals for reducing them, and report on progress. Whether your company is advanced in its climate action or just getting started – this is the program for you!

Taking your climate commitments a step further for the benefit of your business and our planet.

Is your company part of the green transition? Would you like to have your climate data and targets ready once investors and customers start asking for them?

Climate Ambition Accelerator will help your company become a climate front-runner no matter where you are on the journey. Through e-learning, peer-to-peer sessions, and technical Q&As you will become prepared to take your company’s climate action a step further whether you already have a well-defined strategy or you are new in the field.

The program revolves around the methods, standards and guidance of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and the Science Based Targets initiative. You will get a chance to share knowledge and discuss best practices and challenges with companies from all over the Nordic region and get direct support from world-leading experts in the field.

In 2023, we will once again run Climate Ambition Accelerator in collaboration with the Global Compact networks of Norway, Finland, and Sweden.

What is the Science Based Target initiative?

The Science Based Targets (SBTi) is a non-profit initiative which mobilizes companies to set science-based climate targets and boost their competitive advantage in the transition to a low-carbon economy.

The initiative assesses and approves company targets, offers resources, workshops, and guidance, and showcases companies that are part of the initiative.

The initiative has enjoyed considerable success and commitment from companies all over the world reaching well over 4000 in 2022.

As of February 2022, over 140 Danish companies have committed to the initiative, most of them also committed to the UN Global Compact.

Science Based Targets is a collaboration between Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
