Webinar: Introduction to Scope 3
Learn how to prioritize, cover, and reduce emissions in your value chain
As part of our activities in our Science Based Targets peer learning group, we are excited to dive into one of the most requested climate themes: How to deal with Scope 3 emissions.
Scope 3 refers to emissions across your value chain, upstream and downstream, that your company is not directly in control of. Therefore, Scope 3 is considered the most difficult class of emissions in the Greenhouse Gas Protocol to cover and reduce.
During this webinar you will learn more about Scope 3 requirements in our climate initiative Science Based Targets, concrete steps to covering, prioritizing, and finally reducing Scope 3 emissions, and examples of companies that have successfully started their work on reducing their Scope 3 footprints.
Furthermore, you will get to discuss best practices and main challenges with fellow Global Compact companies during the breakout session.
Science Based Targets Peer Learning Group
Global Compact Network Denmark has started a peer learning group on SBTi, with the goal of providing guidance to companies interested in joining the initiative, sharing best practice and experiences setting climate targets through the initiative, and address significant challenges within specific areas of climate target setting (e.g. scoping, scope 3 target setting, and measurement methodologies).
