Workshop: Supplier Engagement in Climate Targets

Get the latest insights on how to successfully engage your suppliers in your company’s climate targets and discuss challenges and best practice with other Danish companies.

Target group: Companies that have begun addressing their Scope 3 emissions by working (or planning to start working) with suppliers to take climate action. Ideally experts within sustainability/procurement/supply chain will participate.

An ambitious climate strategy requires ensuring emissions reductions throughout your company’s value chain – and that involves engaging your suppliers in setting climate targets. But how is that possible? That is the subject of this workshop.

We have partnered with BSR, a global sustainability nonprofit, to provide you with the latest insights into how you can deliver on emissions reductions throughout your company’s supply chain. We will dive into the Supplier Engagement Guide, developed with the 1.5°C Supply Chain Leaders, a publicly-available resource that any company can use to work with their suppliers to set 1.5°C aligned climate targets and take action.

Most importantly, you will be part of a workshop in small groups facilitated by experts from BSR to discuss main challenges, barriers, and best practices you’ve experience when taking supply chain climate action.

The workshop discussions will become part of a report on supplier engagement and climate targets among Danish companies set to be released early next year. The report will also include best practice examples, and you will be invited to submit your case. More information on this will be shared in the workshop.
